2021 marks the 500 years of Christianity in the country, which is also in line with the "9 Year Evangelization" of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines.
THE SITE
Located at the Cebu South Road Properties (SRP), where several huge developments are being put up by the bay.
The complex was zoned to create a relationship between the users and the water.
The building form took inspiration from the holy symbol "triquetra" representing the Holy Trinity.
PLANNING
The service passages to connect the museum, library and monument operations were placed underground to maintain open plazas and a clear view of the monument from the main road.
Concept
"Finding God."
God surrounds us with his love. Rediscover the faith walking throughout the site, guided by Christian symbols and the Apostle's Creed.
It was important to give an interactive, dynamic experience, imbued with Christian semiotics as well as play with the relationship between people's different experiences of space and faith.
Christianity and religion in general has greatly expanded and constantly been redefined to several groups of people. The archangels are believed by many and serve as a universal figure of hope and guidance.
